How to add it

Copy the code for a tool, then paste it into an HTML or code element on your page. Most site builders have one; look for a block called HTML, Code or Embed.

WordPress

  1. Open the page in the block editor and add a Custom HTML block. You can also type /html in an empty paragraph.
  2. Paste the code and save the page.

If your account may not post unfiltered HTML (for example as a Contributor), WordPress removes iframe and script tags when you save. WordPress help

Squarespace

  1. Edit the page, click Add block and pick Code.
  2. Click the pencil icon on the block, paste the code and save.

Squarespace says an iframe or JavaScript in a Code block needs a Core, Plus or Advanced plan, and that code may not show while you are logged in. Squarespace help

Wix

  1. In the editor, click Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Popular Embeds, and choose Embed HTML.
  2. Click Enter Code and paste the code.

Wix shows HTML embeds inside a frame of its own, so check the published page and make the element tall enough for the tool. Wix help

  2. Upload the page. The widget fills the width of its container, up to 760 px.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no fee and no account. Only tools that run fully in the browser are on this page, so the widget does its work on your visitor's device.

Do I have to keep the link to Freebiefy?

Please do. The code adds one line under the tool that links to its page on Freebiefy. Your visitors find more about the tool there, and the link helps more people find the free tools.

Can I change the size?

Yes. The widget fills the width of its container up to 760 px; change max-width in the style attribute to make it narrower or wider. The height starts at 720 px and the script line sets it to the height of the tool. If you leave the script out, or your editor removes it, the widget keeps its starting height and scrolls inside.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The widget takes the width of its container, and the tools are built to fit screens down to 320 px wide.

Do you track my visitors?

The widget shows no ads, does not load Google Analytics and shows no cookie banner. Our own counter adds views, tool uses and the domain the widget is shown on to daily totals, without cookies. What your visitors type into a tool stays in their browser.

What does "Match visitor" do?

It follows the light or dark setting of your visitor's device. Light and Dark keep the same colors for everyone.

Why is a tool missing from the list?

Tools that ask our server, such as the currency converter or the VAT number checker, are left out so a busy site cannot use up their limits. The list covers calculators, converters, text and everyday tools; the image, PDF, website and developer tools are not offered as widgets.
