Put pages where they belong
An appendix that ended up in the middle, a signed page that has to come first, a scan that went through back to front: reordering fixes all of these without printing or scanning again. You see every page as a preview, so you can organize the document by what is on the page, not by guessing page numbers.
- Drag and drop: drag a page onto the place where it should go. The other pages move along.
- Arrows: move a page one step earlier or later, which works well on phones and with the keyboard.
- Type an order: enter something like 3, 1-2, 4- to sort a long document in one step.
- Reverse: turn the whole order around, for back to front scans.
Examples of typed orders
| You type | Result for a 6 page PDF |
|---|---|
| 6, 1-5 | Page 6 first, then pages 1 to 5 |
| 2, 1 | Pages 1 and 2 swap, pages 3 to 6 follow |
| 6-1 | The whole document in reverse |
| 1, 3, 5, 2, 4, 6 | Odd pages first, then even pages |

Frequently asked questions
How do I rearrange the pages of a PDF?
Open the PDF and drag the page previews into the order you want. On a phone or with the keyboard, use the arrows under each page. When the order is right, press Save and the new PDF downloads.
Can I type the new order instead of dragging?
Yes. Type it into the order field, like 3, 1-2, 4- and press Apply order. Pages you do not mention keep their current order and move to the end, so 5, 1- puts page 5 first and the rest after it.
How do I reverse the page order?
Press Reverse order. This helps with scans that came out back to front, for example when a stack of paper went through the scanner face up.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your browser reads the PDF, draws the previews and saves the new order on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Do links, forms and bookmarks survive?
Yes. The pages are moved inside the original document rather than copied into a new one, so links, form fields and bookmarks keep working and still point to the right page.
