How to print the calendar

  1. Choose the paper that is in your printer: US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches, A4 is 210 × 297 mm. The PDF is made in exactly that size, with a margin of a little over half an inch on every side.
  2. Open the downloaded PDF and print it. If the print dialog has a scale setting, choose 100 % so the margins stay even and nothing is cut off.
  3. The year layout is one portrait page. The 12-month layout prints one landscape page per month, January to December, so set your printer to print all 12 pages.
  4. For a wall calendar, print the month pages on heavier paper and staple or punch them at the top edge.

Year on one page or one page per month?

The year on one page shows all twelve months in a grid of three by four, with the marked holidays filled in and listed underneath. It is the one to pin next to your desk or keep in a folder to look up weekdays at a glance.

The 12-month layout gives every day its own box. Holiday names are printed in small type under the date, and the rest of the box is free for appointments, birthdays or deadlines. Months that start late in the week get a sixth row, so no day is squeezed in.

US federal holidays in 2027

The US version marks the eleven legal public holidays in 5 U.S.C. 6103 on the day federal offices close. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, OPM treats the Friday before as the holiday for most federal employees, and a Sunday holiday moves to the Monday after. In 2027 that moves four days off:

New Year's DayFri, Jan 1
Martin Luther King Jr. DayMon, Jan 18
Washington's Birthday (Presidents Day)Mon, Feb 15

The law sets the holidays of federal employees. Private employers decide their own days off, so check with yours before you plan around a date.

UK bank holidays in 2027

The UK versions use the bank holiday dates published by GOV.UK, separately for England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. When Christmas Day or Boxing Day falls on a weekend, GOV.UK lists a substitute day off, and the calendar marks that day. England and Wales in 2027:

Canada and Australia

The Canadian version marks the ten general holidays of the Canada Labour Code on their dates; when one falls on a weekend, the Code gives a work day before or after it instead, and which one is not fixed. The Australian version marks the national public holidays of the Fair Work Act 2009. The King's Birthday is left out because its date differs between states and territories, and so are the extra days states add when a holiday falls on a weekend.

Plan the dates you write in

Counting the working days to a deadline is easier with the business days calculator, which skips the same holidays. The week number tool tells you which calendar week a date is in, and add or subtract days finds the date 30 or 90 days from now.

Frequently asked questions

Is the calendar really free?

Yes. You can print it as often as you like and use it at home, at school or in your business. There is no signup, no email form and no watermark; the bottom edge carries one small line with our web address.

Which holidays can I mark?

US federal holidays, bank holidays in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, Canadian federal general holidays or Australian national public holidays. The list under the calendar names each one with its date. Pick None for a plain calendar.

Why is July 5 marked and not July 4 in the US version?

July 4, 2027 is a Sunday. Under the OPM rule, a federal holiday that falls on a Sunday is observed on the Monday after, and one on a Saturday on the Friday before. The calendar marks the day off and the list names the real date next to it.

Why is December 31, 2027 marked in the US version?

New Year's Day 2028 falls on a Saturday, so federal employees have Friday, December 31, 2027 off. That day off lies in 2027, which is why it shows up on this calendar as New Year's Day 2028.

Can I write in the calendar?

The 12-month layout gives each day a box with room for a few words, and the holiday names sit in small type under the date. For more space per day, print the month pages on larger paper or scale them up in the print dialog.

Is there a calendar for other years?

Yes. Switch the year to 2026 or 2028 above the preview. The holidays follow the same rules and data for every year.
